Birthday in the Park

We celebrated my mom's birthday at a park in Morton and rather than cook out we decided to bring along Colonel Sanders.   Enjoy the photos.

Brown's Oakridge Zoo

For Mother's Day Catherine decided she wanted to hold a baby leopard.  So we decided to take the one hour drive to Brown's Oakridge Zoo in Smithfield where they allow you to hold and pet baby exotic animals.  If you've never been to Brown's Zoo before it is basically a family that started a zoo in their backyard similar to the movie "We Bought a Zoo".  They have lions, tigers and all sorts of animals and they give you a tour of the zoo.  The baby animals available to hold depend on what babies they are currently bottle feeding and when we went it was a baby black leopard.

 

 

Churrasco

A while back my Honduras team got together for a little reunion and thanks to Stephanie's family, a very tasty reunion.  We enjoyed some great grilled meats and cheeses, churrasco'd to perfection by Stephanie's dad.  Here are some pics from the evening.

Delaney's Birthday

Well, we celebrated awhile ago but here are some pictures from Delaney's birthday.  We had fun playing basketball at Mom & Dad's house with a great Kit Kat cake from Cat.  The boys had fun with Grandpa's hats and a couple of sticks.

Peoria Flooding at the Riverfront

Hayes and I decided to take a walk along the riverfront last night and take a look at the historic flooding in downtown Peoria.   I think Hayes was more interested  in the fabulous stick that he found, but here are some pics from our night downtown.
